Remote Controlled Wall Mounted Units!
Mr. Slim® ductless systems are much more effective than room and portable units. Since hot air rises and cold air drops, Mr. Slim units are installed up high and close to the ceiling, extracting the hot air from ceiling level and distributing the cool dry air at a high level. Cooling from top to bottom instead of from the bottom up provides comfortable, even room temperatures throughout rather than cold spots

APARTMENTS-HOMES-OFFICES-COMMERCIAL UNITS
We are, and have been, the largest company specializing in window air conditioners for over 40 years.
Window air conditioners are the most common type of air conditioner for apartments in our fine city. These units must be installed in a window (as oppose to an opening in the wall). Window air conditioners have vents on the side that need to be completely free of any obstructions.
We sell the Carrier, and Climette lines of window air conditioning. These brand names have designed room air conditioners that are quieter, more efficient, gentler on the environment and easily installed with simpler controls that ensure easy operation. The room air conditioners range in cooling capacity from 5,000 BTU anywhere up to 32,000 BTU, depending on the square footage of the area you wish to cool.
If you are interested in purchasing a room air conditioner, remember these helpful hints:

• Measure the height and width of the opening you wish to place the air conditioner in.
• Determine the approximate square footage of the area you wish to cool.
• Remember that room air conditioners will only cool the rooms or open areas that they are in. Do not expect the air to travel around corners and travel down hallways. See Trouble Shooting Window Unit PDF 196 KB

Central Air Conditioning
Central air uses the blower in your existing heating system and existing ductwork to distribute cold air evenly throughout the home. There are two section of ductwork: the supply air which the freshly heated or cooled air is distributed and the return air which brings the air back to the furnace so it can be cooled or heated again before being re-distributed through the space.

Central air is made up of two pieces: one is the evaporator which sits inside the furnace and the other is the condenser which you can see outside. The two pieces are connected by pipes referred to as the line set: this contains refrigerant piping and electrical wiring between the two pieces.

If central air can be used it is the most efficient way to go because:

  • The existing ductwork that is being used for the heating will evenly distribute the air to all areas of the home.
  • More efficient overall cooling
  • Very quiet inside
  • Very simple to install
  • Many brand names and models to choose from
  • Carrier offers a high efficient system that uses PURON instead of Freon.
