image Central Air Conditioning
Central air uses the blower in your existing heating system and existing ductwork to distribute cold air evenly throughout the home. There are two section of ductwork: the supply air which the freshly heated or cooled air is distributed and the return air which brings the air back to the furnace so it can be cooled or heated again before being re-distributed through the space.

Central air is made up of two pieces: one is the evaporator which sits inside the furnace and the other is the condenser which you can see outside. The two pieces are connected by pipes referred to as the line set: this contains refrigerant piping and electrical wiring between the two pieces.

If central air can be used it is the most efficient way to go because:

• The existing ductwork that is being used for the heating will evenly distribute the air to all areas of the home
• More efficient overall cooling
• Very quiet inside
• Very simple to install
• Many brand names and models to choose from

image Furnaces
Forced air gas furnaces take the cool air in your home, pass it over the heat exchanger, then redistribute the heated air back through your home again. This process is continued until the thermostat is satisfied. Once the temperature in your home dips down slightly, the process will begin again. The air is “forced” through the ductwork in the house via the motor in the furnace

image Boilers
Space heating energy costs account for roughly 25-30 percent of the total energy costs for a typical commercial building in the upper Midwest. High-efficiency boilers can reduce heating costs by 10 percent and in many cases by as much as 20-30 percent. In fact, a boiler replacement that reduces gas consumption by 20 percent could save about five to 10 cents per square foot annually.
